Advances in medicine are achieved through collaboration at different levels of education, training, and research. The international fellowship program provides fellows opportunities for developing their knowledge and skills to improve patient care. The program is a mentor-mentee model.
Program Goal
The program's goal is to improve the surgical knowledge and skills of traveling fellows and provide the host institution opportunities for research and information exchange.
Planning process
The PTS will facilitate the connection between the fellow and local coordinators abroad. Please click here to see the list of coordinators. The interested fellow must contact the regional coordinators to find out fellowship vacancies, plan a trip abroad, and do due diligence to get access to healthcare facilities and obtain privileges. Interested fellows are responsible for coordinating their lodging, international travel insurance, and other logistics related to their trip. The PTS is not responsible for any political and social circumstances of the host country.

Applicant Eligibility & Requirements:
Interested fellows must submit the following documents to local coordinators with copy to PTS HQ office. See list of local coordinators
Eligible Applicants must submit the documents described above to local coordinators.
Traveling surgeons are responsible for their traveling fees, housing, local fees to the hospital and administrative fees to the society when applicable
Once the application is approved, the applicant must sign an MOU before traveling overseas.
After the site has been chosen, local requirements might apply to each visitor.
